Mi-Space, Quintrell Downs, Quintrell Downs

A new Cornish neighbourhood is due to take shape after Mi-space announced work on the multi-million pound scheme. The development of 140 properties at Quintrell Downs, near Newquay, aims to give local people the opportunity to take their first step on to the property ladder. Created for customer Coastline Housing, it will include 30 shared ownership homes and 61 affordable rent or rent to buy properties. The new neighbourhood will also boast 49 open market homes.

When complete, the £18.5million project will include pedestrian, cycle and public transport links to the surrounding area.

FCG’s works include all associated infrastructure works for 140 new plots, comprising of reduce level excavations and subsequent cart away of arising materials. Construction of the foundations, substructure blockwork and beam and block floors. Installation of all required private plot drainage and accompanying soakaways, which all link into the new main adoptable drainage system, before connecting the existing sewer system or attenuation on site. All private parking areas and access roads linking again to a new adoptable main road system, adjoining the existing road at the new entrance.
